How Solana Mines works
Every rule below is rendered from the same rules engine the programs mirror (packages/game-core), which was reconstructed from the Legacy contracts on BNB Smart Chain and the archived whitepaper. The deliberate differences from CryptoMines Legacy are: Solana, $MINES, the 2,500× denomination, Artificial Studios artwork, the $AGS premium layer and the security model (commit–reveal randomness, PDAs holding fleet assets).
Rarity
A single 0–99 roll decides the rarity of a mint; a second roll places a worker's Mining Power uniformly inside the tier's range. A spaceship's crew capacity equals its star count.

Fleets and rank
A fleet holds at most 10 spaceships and as many workers as the ships' combined capacity (50 at most). Its Mining Power is the sum of its workers' MP; a planet needs 100 MP per planet number.
Rank follows the majority system: the ship rarity that appears most often sets the rank, D (1★) to S (5★). When several rarities tie, the fleet takes the lowest tied rarity. Adding to a fleet costs $0.50 per NFT; a worker joining a contracted fleet also pays $1 per remaining contract day.
A fleet that mined today is tired until 00:00 UTC: it cannot be edited, dismantled or listed. Dismantling a fleet resets its XP to zero.

Veterans Guild: a fleet with at least 1,500 MP gains +2 % per planet below the highest planet it can reach, clipped by a per-planet, per-rank cap (88 % on planets 1–10 for ranks D–C, 97 % for B–S; tighter caps further out).
Planets and success
Rewards are in USD and are converted to $MINES at settlement. Success chances below are for a fleet at exactly the required MP (no Veterans Guild bonus). XP is granted win or lose and depends on the fleet's level tier.

Levels and XP
Cumulative XP needed for level L is ceil(10 × 1.2^(L−1)) whole points; level 25 is the cap. Each level adds a reward bonus from 1 % to 35 %. Tiers (levels 0–5, 6–10, 11–15, 16–20, 21–24, 25) decide how much XP a planet pays — later tiers earn less on easy planets, so progression pulls fleets outward.

Contracts and fuel
A fleet needs an active contract to leave the hangar. Contracts are bought for every worker in the fleet and last 7, 15 or 30 expeditions (one per day). Fuel is bought in units and stored on the fleet; each planet consumes its own amount, roughly 5 % of the Tier-4 reward.
| Contract | Per worker | Discount |
|---|---|---|
| 7 days | $7.00 | 0.0 % |
| 15 days | $14.00 | 6.7 % |
| 30 days | $27.00 | 10.0 % |
| Fuel | USD |
|---|---|
| 1 unit | $0.01 |
| Planet 1 (21 units) | $0.21 |
| Planet 30 (2,100 units) | $21.00 |
Withdrawal tax
Claiming pending rewards pays a tax that starts at 30 % and drops 2 % the first time you go on an expedition each UTC day, reaching 0 % after 15 mining days. Claiming resets the counter to 30 %. Spending pending rewards on mints, contracts, fuel or fleet fees is never taxed.
Fees and splits
Every payment is disclosed with its split between the reward vault and the studio. Nothing is deducted silently; the on-chain program enforces the bounds shown here and the admin dashboard can only move fees within them.
| Payment | Price | To studio | To reward vault |
|---|---|---|---|
| Worker / spaceship mint | $20.00 | 5 % | 95 % |
| Fleet fee per NFT | $0.50 | 0 % | 100 % |
| Contracts and fuel | USD-pegged | 0 % | 100 % |
| Marketplace tax (Legacy charged 15 %) | 28 % of price | 20 % of price → treasury | 8 % of price burned · 0 % to the pool |
| Withdrawal tax | 0–30 % | 0 % | 100 % |
| Burn refund | 20 % of mint price | — | paid from vault |
Randomness and settlement
Mints and expeditions are two-step. The commit transaction records the current slot; the outcome is derived from the hash of slot commit + 2, which does not exist yet when you commit. Anyone can send the reveal or settle transaction, so nobody can hold a result hostage; each roll is sha256(seed ‖ domain ‖ index) reduced to the die size, re-derivable by anyone from public data.
Settlement uses the oracle price when it is fresh (≤ 15 minutes old) and inside the guard rails; otherwise the versioned reference price. The client shows which one applied to every quote.
